Hi, fellow dance enthusiasts. I'm Cacy an aspiring dancer, documenting my journey as I go through my University experience. Join me in my adventures..

As a child I was very agitated and struggled to stand or even sit still, my mum decided to put me into dance in hopes it would allow me to control my body. My mum is usually right about most things, turns out she was right about this too. Not only did dance help with releasing my energy and helping me have more control over my body but it improved my confidence and social skills. As an only child my social development was behind in terms of milestones however by taking dance and interacting with other children like me my development progressed quickly. The more classes I took the more I loved to dance, now at an older age I can begin to understand and appreciate the journey and development dance has gone through to what we know it as now.

My first memories of dance was a disco-freestyle class in which we learnt the one routine that has engraved into my body. The lunge lunge. I remember that day so vividly because it was a day of pure fun, a place where I felt no pressure. Those were the days...

Styles I've trained in:

  • Ballroom & Latin American
  • House
  • Wacking
  • Disco Freestyle
  • Locking
  • Ballet
  • Jazz
  • Popping

I have just completed my BTEC Level 3 Extended diploma in Performing Arts at JP Academy. This two year course was the collective development of singing, acting and different styles of dance.
